Josh was born to Alan and Gayle Reid in
Dubuque, Iowa in 1974. The family relocated back to their hometown
of Gladwin in 1976. Josh was raised working on his grandparent’s,
Berman & Lucille Reid’s farm, which taught him the value of hard
work. As a young man, Josh also worked bailing hay and helping out
at a landscaping business.
He soon began working for his other grandparents,
Richard & Pat Priemer, at what used to be known as Kings Motel
Restaurant & Lounge. Josh worked in the kitchen and in
maintenance. He continued working at Kings throughout his high
school years. Once he graduated, he began working for his
grandfather as a construction worker. In 1995 Josh took a job
working in the yard at Flynn Lumber Do It Best, where he is now the
yard manager.
Josh became a firefighter in 1994 and is still
serving on the Gladwin Rural Urban Fire Department where he is now a
lieutenant.
Josh has been a member of the Gladwin Eagles since
2002.
Josh married the former Marilyn Muma in August of
1995. They have three children, Jilaine, 15, Ryan, 13, and Morgan,
9. In August of 1998, Josh and Marilyn began building their own
home and they finished construction in February of 1999. They
currently reside in this home in Buckeye Township.
In his free time, Josh enjoys working on construction
projects, boating, and riding ATV’s.
